WHAT DOES MEMBERSHIP IN ATE-VA MEAN?

It means involvement with professional colleagues who are dedicated to the concept of education for all children and believe that the quality of that education depends significantly upon the effectiveness of those who teach.

ATE-VA is dedicated to the strengthening of teacher performance and the improvement of teacher education through the cooperation of interested individuals.

WHAT DOES MEMBERSHIP IN ATE-VA OFFER?

It offers the opportunity to participate in a coordinated state and national program of information and activities devoted to the concerns of teacher educators in schools, colleges and universities, and related organizations, and agencies.

Members receive a variety of publications focused on teacher education issues including pre-service study, student teaching and internship, and continuing professional development.

It provides a means for engaging in productive intra- and inter- organizational dialogue and collective action on current issues in teacher education.
