Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Special Interest Group
The mission of VACTE’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion SIG is to advocate for and support teacher educators and preservice teachers to prepare students in a diverse and multicultural society.
To fulfill our mission, we:

Encourage teacher educators and preservice teachers to speak up when faced with injustice in the classroom.

Assist teacher educators in collaborating with inclusive organizations and school districts to expand the experiences of preservice teachers.

Provide resources to teacher educators and preservice teachers that promote the inclusion of diverse perspectives, texts, and information in classrooms.
