Submit to the Journal
Before submitting your manuscript, please read and adhere to the author submission guidelines listed below.
The Teacher Educators’ Journal is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles focused on issues related to teacher education.
Consider the audience of The Teacher Educators’ Journal. Readers of the journal generally include teacher educators, individuals affiliated with teacher preparation programs, researchers, and graduate students. The journal is not widely accessed by K-12 teachers.
We encourage potential authors to collaborate with graduate students.
The Teacher Educators’ Journal is an E-journal. Manuscripts accepted for publication will be published and available on the ATE-VA website.
The Teacher Educators’ Journal will be annually published each spring.
Published manuscripts become the property of ATE-VA.
Opinions and points of view expressed by individual authors do not necessarily represent those of ATE-VA.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information within a manuscript.
Ongoing submissions are accepted anytime before November 1st. However, regardless of submission, the manuscripts will be reviewed for the annual spring issue between December and late January.
All manuscripts must meet publishing guidelines established by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th edition.
A manuscript, including all references, tables, and figures, should not exceed 5000 words. Submissions that grossly exceed this limit may not be accepted for review.
All manuscripts must include a 150-word abstract and three (3) keywords.
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically in MS Word format, Rich Text Format, or as a PDF.
All manuscripts must be double-spaced with one-inch margins all around and in Times New Roman font – size 12.
All manuscripts should include a cover page with the following information:
Title of the manuscript
Date of submission
Author’s name(s), mailing address, business and home telephone numbers, institutional affiliation(s) and address, email address and fax number
Statement that this manuscript is not under consideration nor has it been published elsewhere
Submissions should include a separate cover page from the main text of your manuscript. Tables, figures, and references can be included with the main text of the manuscript.
Authors will be notified upon receipt of their manuscripts.
After a preliminary editorial review, manuscripts that meet ATE-VA specifications will be sent to reviewers after November 1st. With the exception of the cover page, ATE-VA requires that you omit any identifying information to ensure a blind review.
Before submitting a manuscript, please review the Evaluation Form.
Authors should email an electronic version of the manuscripts to journal editor Kelley Regan at email@example.com. Inquiries about The Teacher Educators’ Journal may be directed to Kelley Regan.
